I am an abstract painter and sculptor based in Texas' North Houston area. Inspired by natural history, I explore seashells, fossils, botanical forms, and lake samples, sometimes examining them under a microscope. Fascinated by nature's shapes, textures, and forms, I create from memory and imagination rather than exact replication to interpret what I've observed in my own way. The process of using my imagination to fill in the blanks sometimes results in unique, bizarre shapes that evoke thoughts of prehistoric (or even extraterrestrial) life forms and landscapes.
